Privacy Policy

The website alt5.com (the "Site") collects information about Users from Users. Some of this information is required to create an account and some is optional. This Privacy Policy ("PP") informs you on how Alt5 will use this information.

1. Definitions of Terms Used in this Privacy Policy

"Alt5"- The general partnership that owns the Site and is doing business as "AFK Connect"

"Guest"- An individual using the Site that has not created an account but has agreed to abide by all applicable laws, this PP, and the Terms of Use Agreement

"Information"- Any information, statistic, number, name, or profile pertaining to a User submitted to the Site by a User either actively (e.g.- forms) or passively (e.g.- mouse clicks).

"Member"- An individual that has created an account on the Site and has agreed to abide by all applicable laws, this PP, and the Terms of Use Agreement

"Site"- The hardware/software infrastructure controlled by Alt5 that the User accesses or interacts with, usually via a web browser, email client, or mobile phone, at the Uniform Resource Locators afkconnect.com and afkmail.com (the "URLs") and any subdirectory or file of these URLs

"User"- A Member or a Guest

"We" or "we"- Alt5

"You" or "you"- The individual who is the User

2. Changes to the PP

Alt5 reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time, and your continued use of the Site after such change constitutes your agreement with the change. Alt5 may notify Members of a change to the Privacy Policy using email, but this is not guaranteed and it is the responsibility of Users to check the PP on a regular basis. If at any point you disagree with the PP, you must stop using the Site and notify Alt5 of your desire to delete your account by emailing Alt5. After receiving your request we will delete your actively submitted Information related to your account profile.

3. Information Collection

Alt5 uses several techniques to collect Information. The following are examples of how Information is collected:.

a) Information is actively submitted by the User in a form.

b) Information is automatically collected as log data or historical data while the User is using the Site (passive submission).

4. Information Use

Alt5 uses Information in many ways, including but not limited to the following:

a) Alt5 uses cookies to store Information on a User's computer,

b) Alt5 stores Information on hardware. Some of this hardware may be owned by Alt5 and some of this hardware may not be owned by Alt5 (Alt5 uses third parties to host the Site).

c) Alt5 may use, transfer, modify, or manipulate Information for internal purposes only.

d) Alt5 may use Information to improve the effectiveness of advertisements on the Site. For example, Alt5 may show Users certain advertisements based on User Information.

e) Alt5 may sell aggregated statistics based on Information. Such statistics are stripped of any Information specific to a particular user. For example, Alt5 may sell statistics on the average number of Toons in an Alt5 account. However, Alt5 will not release the specific names of Toons, phone numbers, or email addresses.

5. Actions Required by Law

Alt5 will not give your Information to any third parties. However, we may be forced to reveal Information if required by law officials.

6. Actions by Hackers

Although Alt5 will take reasonable security measures to protect the security of Information, malicious third parties may break Alt5 security and illegally obtain User Information. Alt5 is not liable for any such security compromise.

7. Merger or Acquisition

Alt5 may be acquired by or may merge with a third party, and the third party may obtain Information from Alt5 and use such Information in a manner inconsistent with this PP. If Alt5 undergoes such change of control, Alt5 will notify Members via email and Members will have the opportunity to request removal of actively submitted Information pertaining to your account profile. Such Information removal may require termination of your account and/or the TUA.
